Prospective Horse Donations
Do you have a horse that could be the right fit to join our new Detroit herd?
With all of the progress underway to construct our 14-acre urban equestrian center by the end of 2026, Detroit Horse Power is ready to consider the right horses that our students will love, care for, and learn from for years to come.
Our expanded youth programming is only possible through filling our new facility with great horse partners and we are deeply grateful to any horse owner that would consider donating their beloved horse to our 501(c)3 organization.
We have organized a thorough process to consider appropriate horses with more information below.
If you are ready to share more about a horse you feel is a good fit for Detroit Horse Power’s students, we would love to learn more by having you complete the in-take form below
Meet Ducky - DHP’s first horse!
Ducky is 14-year-old Thoroughbred mare who has proven to excel in a lesson program after not working out as a competition horse for her previous owner.
